A desire for a CMS change and an updated design
Since 2010, Blue Capital A/S has built a platform that offers Danish investors the best direct property investments on the market, both for private and corporate investors. Their in-depth market knowledge, thoroughness and high professional skills are some of the main reasons for their significant growth, which also means that projects that are fully subscribed in just a few days are more the rule than the exception.
At the time, Blue Capital had a legacy web solution that functioned as it should, but did not have a contemporary design and the development of new functionalities was often costly and time-consuming.
Our good business partner, F10 Marketing, who handles their marketing activities, recommended a new web solution developed in WordPress. And that's where we came in as a possible new supplier.
After several initial meetings where we looked each other in the eye, created a trusting space and went into detail with the requirements specification, we realised that we were a mutual match and that it was a task that we would love to take on our shoulders.

Redesign in 2024
One of the main reasons for wanting a new web solution was a more modern and contemporary design. Therefore, we placed great emphasis on creating design proposals for the main pages, including:
- Home page
- Project page
- Overview page with projects
- Login page for investors
This way, we made sure we were on the same page and agreed on how the look should be externally, which also simplified the development process significantly.

Investment calculator
When launching new projects on Blue Capital's previous website, relevant project data could be copied from Excel and pasted directly into an investment calculator. This investment calculator gave users a forecast of how their investments could be expected to develop over a given number of years.
Blue Capital wanted to keep this functionality in their new system. As the original investment calculator was embedded directly in the previous CMS, it was not possible to transfer the functionality. We therefore decided to rethink and optimise the solution. We realised that it would be more user-friendly if Blue Capital could simply upload their entire Excel document and the system would do the rest.
As a result, we developed a new investment calculator that automatically processes data from the uploaded Excel sheet and presents it in an intuitive and user-friendly investment calculator.

A secure investor portal
In the previous web solution, all investors had protected access to relevant investment documents. This functionality was to be retained, but we devised a different way of doing it, where they previously used FTP access to upload documents to a server.
Our suggestion was to use a recognised online tool for document management instead, as all files are encrypted and can be further protected so that they cannot be shared via a link. In addition, the documents are stored separately on another cloud server, but are integrated directly into the website so that the respective investors can access relevant documents via a login - completely automatically.
It has also given Blue Capital employees a clear interface to work in when creating new projects, and there is both a full activity log and continuous backup so all data is always secure and protected.
