Continuous optimisation with deeper customer knowledge

The story of Tibladin began in 2019 when Mette, the company's founder and owner, approached us to explore a potential collaboration on her upcoming webshop. Her vision was to introduce unique Moroccan interiors to the Danish market, which was and is heavily dominated by the Nordic style, and have the two styles migrate. She wanted to create an online personalised universe where each product would tell its own story and where the focus was on craftsmanship.
We understood Mette's vision and ambitions, and after several fruitful conversations, we reached a common understanding of the strategic direction that would form the basis for the launch of Tibladin's new webshop, which we launched in early 2020.

The result is a webshop characterised by a Moroccan atmosphere, with space for large images of the unique products. An inviting and inspiring universe that welcomes visitors to dive into a world of colours, patterns and craft traditions that reflect Morocco's rich cultural heritage. From handmade rugs and textiles to decorative ceramics and wall decor, each product exudes authenticity and history.

In the following years, we made a number of onsite adjustments and optimisations to the platform. In parallel, the webshop was expanded with more functionalities to meet Tibladin's growing business needs. Through continuous analysis and close collaboration, we gained a deeper understanding of customer behaviour patterns, both in relation to their use of the platform and their purchasing decisions. During this period, the world of e-commerce was also undergoing a major evolution, which led us to start a dialogue about what the next step should be for Tibladin.

With a lot more experience and even more ideas on the drawing board, we decided to re-establish Tibladin in a version 2.0. A solution with even more focus on faster checkout, faster load times and autoplay videos on the product pages to create a more detailed presentation of the products. In addition, we optimised the navigation so that the shop's categories were further highlighted and selected categories are presented with relevant images.

We recently expanded the webshop with 5 new languages (Swedish, English, German, Dutch and French). This was realised with the help of an automatic on-site translation handled via a Google Cloud API, which automatically translates the Danish texts into the respective languages via individual language layers.

Speed, speed, speed

One of the most important points in version 2.0 was that the loading speed had to be top notch. Therefore, extra effort was put into selecting the right software, clean code and subsequent on-site speed optimisations.

Category structure and SEO

We introduced a new and thoughtful category structure and then optimised the categories by adding SEO-friendly category texts, based on valuable insights from the Morningscore tool and with the help of an SEO agency. The resulting improvements were quickly noticed by stronger rankings in search engine results and a significant increase in organic traffic.

Redesign and focus on fast checkout

In version 2.0, even greater focus was placed on optimising the webshop for conversions, based on the deeper insight into customer behaviour that we had gained over the years. One of the top priorities was to create a more streamlined and faster user experience, from product view to checkout, ensuring a smoother and more efficient buying process.

Expanding to more markets

With increasing demand from international markets, Tibladin realised the need to expand the webshop to the primary markets with the greatest potential. In the spring of 2024, we began expanding the webshop into five new languages. With over 500 products in the assortment, it quickly became clear that the translation work would be extensive. To meet this challenge, we chose to implement Google Cloud Translation via an API to automatically translate all content directly on the website. The quality of these translations is significantly higher than that achieved with the standard version of Google Translate, resulting in only a few corrections of words and phrases being necessary afterwards. This solution has saved Tibladin significant amounts of time and resources on translation work.

When new products, categories, pages and blog posts are created, they are now automatically translated and published in all languages instantly, ensuring that all content is available in all languages immediately after publication.
